Ways To Make Your Home Look More Luxurious

I love cozy luxury living, which comes at a cost, but sometimes it doesn’t have to. Here are my tips to help add a little bit of luxury to your space.

Scented Candles & Diffusers

There are so many types of scented candles and diffusers out there that suit any budget.

Not only do scented candles and diffusers make you house smell lovely, but a lot of the glass jars and bottles come in nice colours and have pretty design features.

The good thing about scented candles is that they’re very personal, the colour, scent and brand. I personally love Glasshouse Fragrances, Peppermint Grove Australia, and Circa.

I’ve also purchased some from cheaper stores because I’ve loved the glass jar. Although, I feel the scent doesn’t last as long and it isn’t as strong but they’re still nice.

After you’ve used them, clean the jars with hot soapy water and you can reuse them as storage for tea, jewellery, cosmetics. And the bottles from diffusers, I’ve used as cute little vases to put dried flowers in.

Textured fabrics

Having a range of your homewares and decor in textured fabrics will bring an element of coziness and luxury to your home. Some examples of using textured elements are:

  • Boucle door stoppers/draught stoppers
  • Cable knit pillows
  • Faux ur throws
  • Knitted blankets
  • Wicker storage baskets

Depending on what you like and what look you’re going for, you can experiment with different colours and textures to create a gorgeous balance of textures. Adairs, Provincial Home Living, Bed Bath N’ Table and French Knot Designs are my favourite homeware stores for things like this!

Large clock

Theres something about large clocks that I love. Whenever I see a large clock in someones home, it just instantly looks beautiful. A lot of clocks I’ve seen in the kitchen or living area. The ones that look the most luxurious in my opinion are the ones without a glass cover with the numbers in Roman numerals.

Incorporating artwork or photos that you love into your home brings in more warmth, creativity and coziness.

It fills up bare walls with lovely frames and artwork. Having something like this will bring you joy and positivity into your home. Hanging up artwork in beautiful frames is a great way of expressing yourself and will make your space look finished.

Fresh flowers

Fresh flowers are a must if you want your home to look more luxurious. They can brighten up a space in your home, compliment your decor, bring a lovely element of nature in your home and of course gorgeous natural scents.

You can go to your local florist, your local farmers market or fruit and veg shop to buy fresh flowers or foliage for your home, arrange them and put them in a nice vase.

I hope these tips have given you some ideas for making your home more luxurious.
