7 Spring Wardrobe Essentials Every Girl Needs

Spring time is a great opportunity play around with transitional pieces in your wardrobe. Here is a list of Spring wardrobe essentials every classy girl needs.

Light Coat

A light coat is a great piece to wear in the evenings or early mornings when the weather just that little bit cooler.

I love the look of the famous trench style coat in a lovely fabric. You can wear something thin underneath or layer your tops. The colours that I’d recommend are lighter neutral colours such as a tan, beige, white or a blush pink. It brings a little brightness when you’re transitioning into Spring.

Here is one I adore from Forever New.

Neutral Pants

To bring a bit of sophistication into your wardrobe, or if you would prefer to wear pants instead of jeans and a skirt, a pair of neutral pants is a must.

Investing in a nice pair of pants is a wardrobe staple for spring time. You can dress them up with a nice pair of heels, or dress then down for a more casual look with some plain white sneakers. The options are endless when you have a pair of neutral pants in your spring collection.

I’m loving the slim cropped pant from Witchery and the Grace pants from Forever New.

Flat Shoes

I have always loved a nice pair of ballet flats and loafers. Both styles of shoe are stylish, chic and feminine.

Investing in flats made of high quality fabric I find last longer, look nicer for longer and are more comfortable. They come in so many colours, I’d suggest a brown, tan and metallic colours.

You can have the ballet flats with a small bow at the toe, loafers with minimal embellishments such as a small buckle – try to avoid the chunky chains as they aren’t very flattering and look cheap. They can also come in pointed toe, round of square toe.

The options are endless, and they are a lovely way to add a bit of femininity into your spring wardrobe.

Wittner have a nice collection of high quality ballet flats, loafers and pointed flats.

Satin/Silk Shirt

A satin or silk shirt is a staple piece for a chic spring wardrobe, as they are so versatile in the warmer months.

Put it on with a nice pair of jeans or pants, you can either tuck the shirt in or tie it up.

In Addition, you can wear it open over an elegant midi dress or over a cami with a midi skirt. Sticking to a neutral colour will allow you to wear it time and time again with many different outfits.

Here is a gorgeous one on my wishlist from Kookai.

Knit Tank Top

A knit tank top is a great transitional piece when its not cold enough to wear a knit jumper but not warm enough to wear a thinner tank top.

Knit tank tops are a lovely chic piece than you can pair with a pair of jeans or pants. For a more sophisticated look you can put a light collared shirt underneath or a knitted cardigan on top when its cooler.

Here is a lovely Knit tank from Forever New in a gorgeous colour and style.

Sleeveless Shirt

Theres something about a sleeveless shirt that I just love. Having a gorgeous sleeveless shirt in your wardrobe is the perfect item to wear when you want to look that little bit more dressed up and sophisticated.

A sleeveless shirt makes girls look super chic in my opinion, and will elevate a simple outfit. This isn’t an Australian brand, but this is a beautiful example of a beautiful sleeveless shirt

Midi Skirt

A knitted, satin or cotton fabric midi skirt is a wardrobe staple in my opinion, and not just for spring.

Midi skirts make girls look a bit more feminine while being very comfortable and looking chic. In the cooler spring days and nights, a knitted midi skirt will keep you warm.

If you prefer a gorgeous satin midi skirt, you can always pair it with a nice knit on top to keep you warm.

Kookai has a gorgeous satin midi skirt and a few knitted midi skirts in their collection!

I hope this post helps you with expanding your Spring wardrobe.
