Top Spring Beauty Essentials

The flowers are blooming, the days are becoming longer and the weather is getting warmer. Spring time has to be my favourite season of the year.

It is also a time to refresh your wardrobe, home decor, beauty products and beauty regime. Out with the heavy moisturisers, dark eye make up and nail polish, and in with the lighter and warmer hues of make up including peach and pink tones, light eye make up and dewy lip products.

Nail Polish

Nice, vibrant nail polish colours is must have for Spring.

If you’re not into wearing bright coloured clothing in the warmer months, applying it to your nails is a great way to incorporate a little pop of colour.

There are hundreds of gorgeous spring coloured nail polishes out there. Its just a matter of what colour and shade you like. Colours like, light pinks, peachy oranges, nudes, light purples etc are spring colours in my opinion.

Gorgeous Tinted Lip Balm

It is important to have a nice tinted lip balm handy in the warmer months because it will keep your lips hydrated.

Investing in a high quality tinted lip balm such is important as it will last and will bring out your natural lip colour. Some also contain SPF which is also important in the warmer months.

Light Gradual Tanner

For those ladies that don’t tan easily or very well, a lovely gradual tanner or a light tanning mousse is a great beauty item to have. Investing in a nice tanning product will give you that beautiful bronzed summer glow. The cheaper brands give off that pasty orange look with a very strong fake tan smell.

Before you tan, make sure you exfoliate and moisturise your skin. Also use a tanning mitten to ensure a smooth and even application. There are a lot of different types of tanning brands out there. My favourite brand is Eco Tan.

Peach & Pink toned makeup

Tones of peach and pink in eye shadow, blush and lip balm will add a little warmth, dewiness and a very natural pop of colour to your face.

Lighter coloured make up will bring our your natural features and won’t look as heavy or washed out. You can also use a little bit of or shimmer to your cheeks or eyes for a bit of sparkle.

Highlighter is a great way to give you a beautiful natural glow to your face. It can accentuate your natural features such as cheek bones, underneath your eyebrow or your nose.

You can get highlighters in cooler or warmer tones, even peachy tones. It depends on what type you’re after. But don’t go too overboard as it can make you look too shiny.

Hand Cream

Hand cream is something I always have on me whether it be rain hail or shine.

Making sure your hands are thoroughly moisturised prevents cracking, soreness and your hands looking unkept.

Hand creams preferable containing natural ingredients such as shea butter and natural oils will restore your dry hands and keep them feeling smooth.

I hope you find these tips helpful when changing up your beauty products for spring.
